NUANS (Newly Upgraded Automated Name Search) is a computerized search service for the comparison of proposed corporate names or trade-marks. To federally incorporate a company in Canada, a business owner must ensure that their proposed corporate name does not infringe on other intellectual property holders. A NUANS report is required for helping to identify and avoid potential corporate name confusion.
